The Self Align Carrying Roller is a vital part of belt conveyors and serves three purposes: power transfer, belt sway correction, and conveyor belt direction change. These are designed to help preserve alignment when circumstances like temporary off-center loads, unexpected side winds, or temporary misalignment caused by lump concentration cause a conveyor belt that has been placed properly to get out of alignment. It also provides a very effective way to rectify the belt tracking and keep it permanently in the center.
